From Our Pastor - Can you believe it? We have only 24 days until Christmas! We are living so fast, it feels like we ran right through 2013.
November at Trinity was very busy. We have enjoyed our Missions Conference, Teens’ Fall Retreat, Christmas Parade, Jingle Fest and Thanksgiving. Thank you for all your hard work and hours of service to our Lord and our Church!
We start the countdown to Christmas with our families and church today. We know that our Jewish friends celebrate Hanukkah (The Festival of Lights) at this time of the year. Because the Jewish calendar doesn’t line up with our calendar, the dates shift every year.
This year, Hanukkah and Thanksgiving were on the same day. Sundown of the 27th started the Festival of Lights and the 28th was Thanksgiving. The last time this happened was 1888, and guess what? The next time it occurs will be in 77,000 years!
