FROM OUR PASTOR
FAITH
The past two weeks I have written to you about "FELLOWSHIP" and "FAMILY!" Today we add "FAITH".
Hebrews 11 is the key chapter about FAITH. By faith, our spiritual founding fathers obtained a good report. This chapter explains that "through faith we understand that the worlds were formed by the Word of God."
Also, we read, "But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that He is..." By faith we believe and by faith we "diligently seek Him."
By faith, we are connected in spiritual family and fellowship. By
faith, we believe God for salvation by grace. By faith, we pray for "the substance of things hoped for..."
I John 3:20-24, speaks of us as believers not having a condemned heart, but by faith having a confidence towards God.
A happy family with happy children always has access to the Father in prayer!
Verse 22 reminds us, "and whatsoever we ask"-is the joy and privilege of just asking. And the joy of prayers answered, "we receive of Him."
May our family unite in prayer, in faith believing for our children, grandchildren, homes, husband, wife, parents, friends, our church, our city, our nation and the need for revival!

September 1 - Training for evangelism at Mtn. State Fair at 6:00 p.m. in the Teen Church.
September 4 - Tent Raising in Bristol beginning at 8:00 a.m.
September 5 - Family Night - No Evening Service.
September 6 - Office Closed. The church office will reopen Tuesday, September 7, at 9 a.m
September 11 - Family bike ride on the VA Creeper Trail. Meet at the church at 8:00 a.m.
September 12 - 911 Service honoring local law enforcement and emergency personnel.
September 12 - Teens soul winning at Mtn. State Fair from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
September 12 - Squire Parsons will be our special musical guest at 5:00 p.m.
September 14 - Happy Hearts Luncheon at 11:00 a.m. in the Family Life Center.
September 14 - Morning Bible Study for Ladies begins at 10:30 a.m.
September 16 - Evening Bible Study for Ladies begins at 6:30 p.m.
September 18 - Men's Prayer Breakfast at 8:00 a.m. in the Family Life Center.
September 19 - Awana and Teen Church begin at 5:00 p.m.
